CDCD 264.3

The song I forgot and the Lord reminded me
Back in 2020, when the pandemic hit, I started writing songs again. One of them was very special, and then... I forgot it completely, and when I mean forgot it, is as if someone had access to my brain and delete it. But the in 2025, the Lord reminded me of this song again. Little did I know that choosing to obey God and record this song in 2025, would have a new meaningful twist in my own life. "Make my Way (My God)" was recorded from June to August 2025, but before this at the beginning of the year the Lord urged me to leave my 12 years of teaching job, my "secured job", my "financial safety net", to pursue entrepreneurship and ministry. I obeyed to his calling grumblinh at first and after running away like Jonah for 7 years, the whale 🐋 finally caught up to me. I quit my job as a 🎵👩‍🏫Music and Performing Arts Teacher in May 2025, which it hurt on many levels💔, because I love teaching music to kids and teenagers and I loved even more teaching at a Christian Academy where I could share God's love and message. Little did I know, that in the week after releasing my first single, my mom would be diagnosed with stage 4 uterine cancer. But God knew.🩵 God knew that by quitting my job, I would need that time to take full care of my mom in the most vulnerable moments, I've ever seen her in my life. We always had rivalry, anger, hurt and pain towards each other, and the Lord used this illness to bring us not just closer to Him, but closer as a family and restored my relationship with my mom. Are you on that boat? Have you ever experienced something similar? If you have, let me tell you, obedience matters more to God, than all the church meetings we may have in the world. It shows how much are you willing to give up, to trust Him fully in all circumstances no matter how hard, frustrating or painful it might be. To trust God’s will, is to show how much you live him because he lived you first. I share this story and more in my ebook "Clothed in Honor: When Faith Meets the Battle Within", available on my website.
