Reading Deeper
As I was reading the Bible this morning I realized once again that when we read in different versions certain scriptures can hit home much deeper. This morning I was reading 2Chronicles 7:7-22.
📖 We all know verse 14 but I had never read it like this in the amplified before..
14 - If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, PRAY, SEEK, CRAVE and REQUIRE of necessity my face and turn from their wicked ways, THEN I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
15- NOW my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to prayer offered in this place.
16 - For I have chosen and sanctified (set apart for holy use) this house, that My Name may be HERE forever, and My eyes and My heart will be here perpetually."
🗝️ Reminder, this is talking about the temple that Solomon built. But when God says "NOW my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to prayer offered in this place", we need to remember that WE are now "this place".
That if we pray, seek, crave, and require necessity his face and turn from our wicked ways THEN he will hear the prayers offered in OUR (body)Temple!! That HIS NAME will be HERE (in us) forever along with His eyes and heart!!
Maybe this ties in with Him saying "I will not forsake you!!"
Oh how I love His Word that's ALIVE in us!!!
🪞 Reflection: How often do we pray in passing rather than in reverence.... CRAVE!!! Require of Necessity!! These words really got into me this morning 🌄
🙌 Hallelujah! Praise God! In 2026, let's be more diligent in how earnestly we seek Him! He is in US! We are His temple of the new covenant!! And He is coming soon so let's be ready!!
Be Salty & Stay Lit!!
