Ruth โ Faithfulness in the Hidden Place
Sometimes God changes your whole future through one quiet decision of loyalty. Ruth had every reason to quit. She was a widow, a foreigner, and walking into uncertainty. But she clung to Naomiโand more importantly, she clung to the God Naomi belonged to. โBut Ruth said, โDo not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.โ (Ruth 1:16, ESV) Ruthโs story reminds us: faith isnโt always loud. Sometimes it looks like showing up to glean in a field, day after day, with empty hands and a steady heart. The enemyโs lie says, โIf God loved you, you wouldnโt be hereโstruggling, overlooked, starting over.โBut Godโs truth is different: He works through obedience when no one is watching. Ruthโs โordinaryโ steps led her straight into Godโs redemption. Boaz became her kinsman-redeemerโa picture pointing forward to Jesus, our true Redeemer, who covers the vulnerable, restores the broken, and brings outsiders into His family. If you feel like youโre in a hard, humble season (I know I am)โฆ donโt despise it. God may be writing legacy in what feels like survival. ๐ช Reflect - Where is God asking me to be faithful even when the outcome is unclear? - What would loyalty to Jesus look like todayโpractically? ๐ Prayer Lord, give me Ruthโs kind of faithโsteady, loyal, surrendered. Help me trust You in the hidden place, and lead me into Your redemption. In Jesusโ name, amen.
