Has anyone been tapping into the mixing with VSX? If so where do you find yourself mixing for the majority of your time? I like Stevens room... but this Spitfire studio is CLEAN!

What sort of automation do you guys do? When do you do it? I usually do my last and final automation on the mix bus as I am winding down the mix.

I'm putting the finishing touches to a Detroit Trap style song for a client and I realized that I had been doing too much!! I tried to clean the beat up to go for that signature pro-sound but I was killing the vibe. When I just let the 808 distort the way the producer made it, it opened up the low end and let it breath.. Anybody here mixing that kind of music?
