Seeing Is Believing — Or Is It?
“Seeing is believing” sounds logical. But magicians rely on it. So do liars. So does confirmation bias. We don’t see reality as it is.We see it as we want it to be. The mind fills gaps. It filters evidence. It protects ego.And when we believe something strongly enough, we unconsciously look for proof to support it. That is where deception lives. In Trading Trade what you see, not what you hope. The market does not care about your bias. It does not reward prediction. It rewards disciplined execution. When you trade what you think will happen: - You anticipate. - You force entries. - You move stops. - You justify losses. When you trade what you see: - Structure confirms. - Conditions align. - Risk is defined. - Emotion is reduced. Clarity replaces ego. The Deeper Principle This isn’t just trading. In business. In relationships. In negotiations. Emotion distorts perception. We see opportunity where there is risk. We see loyalty where there is convenience. We see validation where there is manipulation. Stepping outside your own viewpoint is a skill. That is why a third-party opinion matters. Not because they are smarter. But because they are not emotionally invested. Distance creates objectivity. The Discipline Critical thinking is not natural. It is trained. Pause.Assess. Question your own bias. Ask: - What evidence contradicts my belief? - What would the opposite side argue? - Am I reacting… or evaluating? The ability to detach from emotion is not coldness. It is control. And control is leverage. Understand... 🙏
Good morning
Good morning, gentlemen, I'm Collin, nice to meet you!
Power
Power doesn’t corrupt. It amplifies. This applies in Business, relationship, finance, trading etc. And here’s the part most people miss: Slow is fast. Fast is slow. Most people rush power before they understand it — and that shortcut becomes the delay. Give someone authority too early — they dominate instead of lead. Give a trader too much leverage — they blow the account. Give an untrained driver a fast car — they crash. The pattern is consistent: People scale power before they build control. Power is neutral. The operator determines the outcome. Professionals move differently. They go slow first: • learn the tool • map the failure modes • build controls and a kill switch • prove consistency at small size Because they understand the real sequence: Control → then power → then scale. When you respect the process early, you move faster later — and you stay there. Don’t scale power faster than you scale control. Take your time. Understand it first. Then accelerate. 💪
Networking
How to Network Properly (and Why It Matters) Networking is not collecting contacts. It is building leverage through relationships. Most people approach networking asking: “What can I get?” High performers approach networking asking: “What value can I bring?” That single difference separates average networks from powerful ones. Why Networking Matters Your income, opportunities, and speed of progress are capped by: - Who you have access to - Who trusts you - Who thinks of you when opportunities appear Skills create value. Networks multiply it. You can be highly skilled and still stagnant if no one knows you exist—or trusts your execution. Visibility Matters (More Than Most Realise) If people can’t quickly understand who you are and what you do, they won’t take you seriously. - A random or joke profile picture does not project reliability - A vague or unserious bio creates uncertainty - “I want to make lots of money” is not a professional description Use a clear profile photo and write a short, professional bio that explains: - What you are learning or building - How you create or aim to create value - What others can expect from engaging with you Credibility starts before the first conversation. How to Network Better Than Most People Lead with value, not requests Share insights, resources, introductions, or execution support before asking for anything. Value builds trust. Be useful, not impressive People remember those who help them move forward, not those who talk the most or list credentials. Follow through relentlessly Most people talk. Few execute.Doing what you say you’ll do instantly places you in the top 10%. Stay visible through contribution Consistent, relevant contributions keep you top-of-mind without self-promotion. Think long-term Networking is a compound game. Relationships built today often pay off months or years later. The Reward Loop This community operates on a simple principle: - You bring value → others return value - You help others win → opportunities find you - You execute → trust compounds
