🧘‍♀️ A Quick Nervous System Check-In For Today
One thing I’ve learned is that most of us try to change our lives from a place of pressure, rather than presence. And pressure keeps the nervous system tight… which makes everything feel harder than it needs to be.
So here’s something I want to offer you today:
Before you decide what you “should” do next… pause and notice what your body is actually doing.
Right now:
  • Is your chest tight?
  • Is your breath shallow?
  • Are your shoulders tense?
  • Is your tongue suction cupped to the roof of your mouth?
You don’t need to fix anything.
Just notice.
Awareness is the first regulation tool.
It tells your system, “I’m here. I’m paying attention.”
If you want to go one step further, try this:
  • One slow inhale through your nose
  • One long, unhurried exhale through your mouth
  • Release anything you're able to that feels heavy
I’d love to hear from you if it feels safe to share:
What did you notice in your body when you checked in?
Doesn't have to be deep, simple words like “tight,” “open,” “heavy,” “neutral,” or “grounded” are perfect.
Your awareness is enough and noticing is enough for now.
Let’s start the week from regulation. 🤍
