https://youtu.be/BJO2XD1i3Hs?si=T1y6n9Ert71rGiEO I’m sharing this today with all of you because the admin of another group asked about “the feel” in Skool groups as opposed to posts about how to monetize, build funnels and engagement, attract members, etc. Quite frankly I cringe the moment someone starts to try to upsell me or teach me how to build an offer or a funnel. I’ve taken so many courses (and spent waaay too much money) on all this and each has gone badly awry. And not because what I was offering was of poor quality or lacked value but because I shifted my focus from the spirit and intent of what I was producing to monetization. Now don’t get me wrong. I am not against making money but for me (and this is just me) it has to be via genuine interaction and heartfelt collaboration. No, I am not saying I have to have one-on-one meetings with every member, but everything I post should encourage them to see a connection to their own lives and or to others in the group. That others part is important. If I comment on and help expand the discussion in a community it’s because I’ve taken the time to get to know their message and intent. I would hope they’d return the favor and visit to comment on my group. This, I’ve come to believe, is how real community is built - it at least how I intend to build and grow my community. I want to be able to say, as Andrea Gibson did as she was dying that “I fucking loved my life. “
