An ongoing series of stories about my encounters with animals. A new story is released each week with accompanying questions for discussion in our community forum. The title, "Whales in My Backyard" comes from the nine years I spent in Hawaii where the Pacific ocean was less than a quarter mile from my home and Humpback whales could be seen from November through May. They were quite literally in my backyard.
