Finishing, varnishing and framing a painting is an exciting and nerve - wrecking process. If I can, I let my paintings "rest" for a while after finishing it, so I can look at it again with fresh mind and decide. Is it really ready? But sometimes varnishing day comes and I just declare "done" some works that are still not so perfectly polished... because there is some truth and raw emotion, that should not be overworked. This one took a while, but I am glad that I finished it just before my upcoming solo exhibition "river". If you want to know more about exhibition preparation, follow along, I'll try to show the process here. 🩷
