How to Overcome the Unexpected
This can and will happen. You are talking with a potential client and then BOOM, another party is involved, they aren't the real decision maker, some piece of information that is important wasn't shared with you, etc. There are a few ways to conquer this; one let it run over you while scrambling to rectify the situation or two realize that this is GOING to happen every now and then so you can calmly deal with what's in front of you. Being prepared always helps but it isn't the end all to be all, it's a guide to help lead you in the right direction while knowing how to circle back if a part of, or many parts, of your process are skipped. You might even see it as an opportunity to add this to your process by saying, "what are the possible resistence factors or how should I pivot if X happens?" Would love your feedback and thoughts!

As a sales person sometimes you find yourself trying to outsmart the competition, trying to think outside the box, when in reality there isn't one.
