🌙 The 2% That Refuses to Disappear

Tonight is the longest night of the year. La noche más larga del año. And the moon? Barely there. 2% visible.
Four ancient traditions. One truth.
🇪🇸Spain knows: Navidad means birth. Not gifts. Not trees. Birth after darkness. The sun reborn from the void. We don't celebrate the light arriving. We celebrate its return after dying.
🇬🇷Greece knows: This is Dionysus' night. The god torn apart and remade. Dismembered before rebirth. The ancients didn't celebrate with joy. They celebrated with acknowledgment. You must face your own dismemberment first.
🇮🇳india knows: Tomorrow begins Uttarayan. The sun's northward journey. Krishna said those who die during this time don't return to rebirth. Not because death is escape. Because transformation becomes permanent. The light doesn't just return. It commits.
🇵🇸Palestine knows: For Palestinian Christians, Christmas Eve isn't comfort. It's birth during occupation. Light emerging from siege. نور من الحصار. Christ wasn't born in a palace. He was born displaced, threatened, vulnerable. And still, light.

2% light.
98% darkness.
That's the truth of every solstice.
Every birth.
Every rebirth.
Every beginning that actually matters.
