What I’d Choose On The Go 🤎 If I was ordering at Pret and needed something quick while I was out, these are the kinds of options I’d choose. I’m looking for something that is filling, gives me a decent amount of protein and fits comfortably into my calories for the day. Tuna Niçoise Salad 357 calories 29.6g protein This would probably be my first choice. It gives you nearly 30g of protein and plenty of volume from the salad, while still being relatively low in calories. Miso Chicken Rice Bowl 385 calories 26.6g protein A great option if I want protein plus some complex carbs for energy, especially if I’m training that day or I’ve been more active. Chef’s Italian Chicken Salad 526 calories 25.3g protein Still a good protein option, but it is higher in calories, so I’d simply be aware of that when choosing the rest of my meals for the day. If I was shopping in a supermarket instead… I’d keep it simple. I’d choose a ready-made source of protein such as chicken, tuna, prawns or eggs, add a salad or vegetables and then decide whether I need some complex carbs too. If I just needed something quick, I might add a piece of fruit such as an apple or banana and have my usual complex carbs when I’m back home. Another easy option would be a small pasta pot with a good source of protein, so you’re getting protein and carbs together. You do not need to find the “perfect” meal every time you’re out. Think: PROTEIN → VEGETABLES / FIBRE → COMPLEX CARBS IF NEEDED Simple choices can still support your goals when life is busy. 🤎 Now I want to hear from you! Are there any supermarkets, cafés, takeaways or places you eat at regularly that you’d like me to go through? Let me know below and I’ll choose some of the better options for fat loss, protein and calories. If you send me your favourites, I’ll do another one of these before the weekend. 🩷
