Add Lazy Load in Squarespace with this plugin
Hi all,
I wanted to share a plugin that has been useful for me when it comes to improving website performance, especially for those of you running online stores, blogs, or event listings.
You know how important it is for your site to load quickly. No one likes waiting for pages to load, and Google doesn’t either. That’s where lazy loading comes in.
If you’re not familiar, lazy loading delays loading images and videos until they’re needed—like when a visitor scrolls down the page. It makes your site load faster, gives users a smoother experience, and even helps with SEO.
Here’s the catch: Squarespace doesn’t support lazy loading for summary blocks out of the box.
But after some searching, I came across a solution that’s worked wonders for me—the Lazy Summaries Plugin by Squarewebsites.
This plugin adds lazy loading to Squarespace, so I can keep my site running smoothly without diving into complex coding or switching platforms. It’s easy to install, and the difference in page speed and UX is noticeable.
If you’re using Squarespace and want to boost your site’s performance, I recommend checking it out.
Here’s my affiliate link to the plugin: https://squarewebsites.peachs.co/a/elwyn-davies
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Elwyn
