at like 7-8 p.m. St. Louis had a storm go through and on the radar that I use (weatherwise) they put out a mesoscale discussion (talking about tornadoes, heavy rain, etc) and it was a 5% chance for a tornado watch to be issued, but since I've studied the radar for over 2 years I've learned 40% or less it won't happen, 45% means it might happen, but unlikely, and 60% or more means it will happen, and at the time I was in the direct path of the thunderstorm, but at least at 5 in the morning the next day (today) i was hit with some heavy rain and some lighting but earlier (4 in the morning) there was thunder.
