Loft Ladder Framing
Framing for a loft ladder that is bigger than the old loft hatch.
This is an example of one I did today, they are all framed differently in each house and you need to consider if some ceiling joists need more support.
I usually screw a piece of wood across the ceiling joists temporarily while I cut out the old bits and replace with new, to reduce any joists sagging down until I’ve finished.
