This is a probably the best Instructional video I've seen so far that is for beginners. It's pretty good for a starter lesson. I recommend some practice foam ones at first. I used my ID (dog) tags by holding one and weighting the other end with the other. It was convenient because I started training on Nunchaku when I was in the Army. So if you can spin it in your hand, and it is roughly 1 foot long, you can use anything to practice with. Tie a knot in the ends of a thick rope, use a stretch of wire that is about a foot long. If you make your own and it's hard and heavy, be careful and go slow until you get good. Otherwise you could hurt yourself or others. Make sure you have space all around.
This guy makes some really good points but he is a little over explicative at first. I like the joke he made but the transition was a little long. You'll see what I mean.
Learning Nunchaku is a good thing to do because it gives you an advantage that is greater then your bare fists. Problem is most sets are not very concealable and they are easily compromised. Both of these aspects we will train on here in WDC. I am working on my own defending against nunchaku video and will post it when I have it completed.
