Milkweed Growth Progress
WFS is teaming up with The Monarch Fellowship to start a hub locally. I saved my Arizona Milkweed seeds (Asclepias Angustifolia) by placing a mesh bag over the seed pods before they opened, then planted in an up-cycled seed starting tray. (See course on Up-Cycled Seed Starting in the ‘Courses’ tab). Here they are several weeks later with their second set of leaves developing. So cute! The germination ratio was 13 out of about 43 seeds, so about 30%.
