This mornings walk meditation had me reflecting on the idea of being open and trusting.
How it is important to gauge who you trust and how fast you let them in!
As a space holder it is important to vet anyone and everyone coming to sit in a drum or healing circle. Who shows up to help or to receive, who brings in their own need to assert importance, who is there to cause chaos and/or need to help from their own chaos.
This also goes for the day to day, mundane life as well. Not everyone should be included in what you are doing, sometimes silence and being secret about what your trying to build/create can be your best defense.
It is okay to say no, and feel the disappointment. You cannot cater to everyone, nor should you. What you bring to the table is not meant for everybody's table. Not every chair needs to be occupied.
Take a deep breath.
In through the nose and out through the nose.
Feel the pressure in and out for several breaths.
You can only breathe in so much.
Just like you can only fit so many people into your life.
Embrace your lungs filling up with quality air.
Let your stomach expand as you breathe deeper and deeper.
You're making room for more air.
Don't rush just stay steady.
Relax and see how you feel.
