12.4 LinkedIn & Upwork Optimization — Newbie VA Course
If clients can’t find you online, they can’t hire you.Your LinkedIn and Upwork profiles are digital storefronts — and most VAs never optimize them.
A clear, confident profile builds instant trust before you ever send a message.
How to Optimize Your Profiles
For LinkedIn:
  • Use a headline that speaks to results: “Helping founders stay organized & efficient.”
  • Add a short About section focusing on your client’s needs, not your history.
  • Post weekly — share wins, systems, or tools you use.
For Upwork:
  • Open with what problem you solve (“I help small teams organize their admin chaos.”)
  • Include your top 3 skills and proof of reliability.
  • Add client testimonials and work samples as soon as you have them.
Your goal: when someone lands on your profile, they immediately think — “I want to work with this person.”
💬 Let’s Talk
If you had to write one sentence that would make your profile stand out, what would it be?
Share below 👇
“I help busy entrepreneurs get back 10+ hours a week by organizing their daily chaos.”
“I turn messy inboxes and calendars into smooth systems.”
