You're not doing "enough"
There's mixed messaging when it comes to content.
Specifically, how much content you should post.
One side will tell you, "Post everywhere."
The other will say, "Master one platform first."
Both pieces of advice are deceptive to the beginner.
When you post everywhere, you dilute your messaging.
When you post on one platform you may never find your audience.
So what should you do?
I recently hit 2K followers on LinkedIn in about 4 months.
That's the fastest I've hit that milestone on any platform.
But I did it by using a combination of the above advice.
And it's simple for beginners.
(btw I love simple systems).
Here it is:
Don't post on one platform. Post one idea daily.
Don't post everywhere. Post your one idea where your audience hangs out.
Let me break this down.
I run a YouTube agency and my ideal audience are coaches.
So, I think of ideas that solve their problems.
For example, if a coach wants to make more money, they need to book more calls.
The problem is this: "I want to book more calls but don't know how."
So my post will present a solution...the YouTube Sales Funnel.
In the post, I'll explain why it works (proof) and break down the process (value).
And bang, that's my "idea" for the day.
Now, the important part is posting this idea where my audience hangs out.
After lots of testing, I know my audience hangs out on YouTube, LinkedIn, and X.
So I take my one idea and distribute it to those platforms.
I don't copy/paste the exact post.
Different platforms require different content frameworks.
But with AI, it's simple enough to repurpose and save time.
And it allows you do much more. I.E. get more attention, faster.
You don't need to post everywhere. You shouldn't post on one platform.
Be intentional about the process, and you'll "do more" as a result.
