Welcome to WholeSum 🌿
Welcome in. WholeSum is our place to get curious about AI and what it means for everyday life. We will explore practical ways to use it, the basics that make it easier to understand, and the bigger questions it raises for us, our families, and our society. You will find free resources in the Classroom, along with conversations connected to my videos, podcast, and Substack. You can use one prompt, try a small experiment, or simply bring a question you have been sitting with. Start with Welcome to WholeSum in the Classroom. There is no homework pile to catch up on. I would love to know: what is one thing you are curious about, and one thing you are still unsure about, when it comes to AI?

What’s for dinner? 🌿
Sometimes a useful place to start with AI is something as ordinary as dinner. Try this: “I have [ingredients] and about [time] to cook. Suggest three simple dinner options using what I already have. Keep cleanup minimal and ask before adding ingredients to a shopping list.” Pick what actually sounds good and adjust it for your household. You’re still the one who knows what everyone will eat 😊 What’s one ingredient in your fridge that needs using?

Check Out the FREE Resources 👆
If you haven't already, make sure to check out our library of free resources. I'm continuously adding to them, but I might also remove some. Make sure you download or make a copy of the resources you want to keep. Leave a comment on this post if there is anything you are wishing I share/create 🤩
What would you keep doing yourself?
As we build out WholeSum, I keep coming back to this: What do we want AI to make easier, and what do we want to keep doing ourselves? Maybe you'd welcome help organizing your thoughts, but want the final words to stay yours. What's one thing you'd gladly hand over, and one thing you'd keep?

One small experiment for today
Choose an ordinary task you've been putting off and try this in your AI assistant: "Help me break this task into three small steps: [task]. I have 15 minutes. Keep it realistic and don't add extra work." Keep personal details out, then adjust the answer to fit your actual day. Did it make the task feel easier, or did it miss something?
