Over the years as a ventriloquist I have worked some interesting places, there’s the obvious such as Theatre, Traditional Music Halls, Television, Comedy Clubs, Holiday Parks, Hotels, Social Clubs, Festivals, Fetes, Circus, Towers, Libraries, a workplace office, Restaurants, Schools, Pubs then there’s the extraordinary such as an underground tunnel, farm barns, living rooms and kitchens, conservatories, a post office and in the aisles of a passenger airline during a flight.
I have also worked in some strange circumstances such as with no dummies, no sound, no lights, in a field, at a 1st birthday party (recently), 2 people in the audience, and during dinner parties whilst they are eating a main course.
I have learnt in nearly 30 years as a professional to adjust to a bookers needs so the act works and everyone is happy although there are still mistakes that is out of anyones control.
Any ventriloquists out there had strange bookings and funny gig anecdotes?
