Let’s celebrate!
I used to dream of vanlife freedom. But in reality, I had no income, was overthinking every step, burning through my savings, and feeling lost driving from place to place, hoping it would fix everything. On the outside, I was living free. Inside, I was scared and stuck – dreaming of the freedom I thought I already had. It sucked because I had no idea how to make money online. No roadmap. No mentor. No one to hold me accountable. I felt lonely and isolated because none of my friends or family understood what I was doing. Just me, my laptop, and a growing sense of panic every time I checked my bank account. Then I realized freedom doesn’t come from going places – it comes from helping real people solve real problems. When Skool came around, things finally clicked. Within 21 days, I made my first $1,000 helping others improve their digital art in Affinity Photo – and later built The Vanlife Network to connect and support like-minded travellers on the road. Now I work completely on my own terms and do what I love while enjoying my freedom. Couldn’t be more grateful ❤️
Let’s celebrate!
6 Months on the Road — My Vanlife Milestone 🚐💛
Hey fam! Today I’m celebrating 6 months of living full-time in my van — 184 days on the road! ✨ Half a year of freedom, chaos, growth and so many unforgettable moments. Here are my 6-month vanlife stats: • 5 countries explored 🌍 • 12 nights on campsites (7 with my mom + some laundry + friends 💛) • 4 times sent away by police/park rangers 😂 • 9.5 hours longest drive / 2 minutes shortest drive • 7 times out of water 💧 • 3 times out of electricity 🔋 • 0 times out of gas 🔥 • 19 times my cabinet flew open while driving 😅 • Coffees spilled while driving: 5 ☕️ • Showers taken in nature: a lot (almost every day) 🌿 • Books read: 3 • Van problems: 1 (so lucky 🍀) • Memories made: infinite ✨ • Friends made: so many — and especially because of TVLN 🫶 • Too many coffees made (because I’m obsessed ☕️) The truth? It’s not always easy. I’ve cried, I’ve wanted to give up, and I’ve felt more alive than ever.I’ve learned that you don’t need much to feel rich, and that the world is full of kind and inspiring people — especially in The Vanlife Network. Feeling really grateful today. 💛 I’d love to hear from you: What’s been your biggest milestone, win, or lesson in vanlife so far? Big hugs, — Larissa ✨

When stuff miraculously starts working
I hate when it happens sometimes! The past two nights it has been cold. I could see my breath, cold. Both nights I turned on my diesel heater.... but was getting the warning "ignition failed to start"... FUDGE. All day while driving I was working up the courage to tackle some troubleshooting. (Real meaning: I was not looking forward to moving a ton of sh_t so I could get to the heater....). I started the process of removing the sh_t but stopped and figured I should get all the information from the control box first, and record the actual message it was telling me.... Guess what? The heater miraculously started working again. 🤣 so then I was frustrated that I didn't have to spend all the time "working myself up" to removing said sh_t so I could (fingers crossed 🤞) fix my diesel heater issue. In all actuality .... if it is/was an ignition issue I probably wouldn't have messed with it on my own. So, I guess this goes in the "Wins" category 🤔
🎙️ The Story Behind The Vanlife Network – Podcast Episode
Early September a dude named Ryan made a post in a FB vanlife group that he was searching for digital nomads to share their story on his podcast Digital Nomad Nation. So I made a comment telling a little about myself and The Vanlife Network, after which we had a quick discovery call and then he invited me to be a guest speaker on his podcast. In this podcast we basically cover why I swapped out my backpack for a motorhome, ending up feeling totally disconnected to starting The Vanlife Network and live a life with purpose — and all the hard lessons I've learned along the way. 👉 In case you're interested, you can listen to the full episode here or read the blog here. Hope you like it. Cheerios! ✌️
