I got good at building with AI… but had no idea how to actually sell it. I could create offers, tools, systems… But getting clients? That was the real challenge. So I decided to fix that. I started a series where I’m learning how to actually sell and grow my agency from scratch… and one thing that’s been surprisingly powerful is using Claude. Not in a “write me a script and I’ll copy it” way… But as a thinking partner. It’s basically like having someone constantly helping me sharpen my sales skills in real time. And honestly… it’s making a difference. I thought this would be interesting to share here since a lot of people are into AI, but not that many people talk about using it for actually getting clients. I broke down exactly how I’m using it here: https://youtu.be/nQHy9xQykDI?si=NgCVXdnymK6mCpaN I’m documenting the whole journey as I learn… Curious how others are using AI for sales right now 👇
It took a bit but I finally got my own skill set up! I got a total of 3 per the prompt below. The first skill is one that I have to trigger, the next 2 skills are automatically ran afterwards. Im blown away !!! Before the skill was "official" it had me review a LOT of testing it ran and send back a JSON file with my feedback. A tip i picked up is after you are winding down on a task w/ Claude, ask it: "Reflect on our conversation, your task is to create 3 skills from it and ask me clarifying questions one at a time till you’re 97% confident you can complete the task successfully" It gave me some amazing questions and I got amazing results!!!
Managed to get the plug in and am loving the results! I set up my first scheduled event for a summary of my overnight emails... so fun! Also, I got Cowork to help me move a chunky project that I was woking out of on my free plan and into my new Cowork space. I wanted the whole folder added so it could have the most context. But Claude said it wasn't necessary and created a "hand off" md file. The steps required me to provide instructions to both the Claude side and then subsequent steps in Cowork but I got it done! Now I have that context in one of my projects in the Cowork Home Base Folder. 📂 This is so addictive! So thankful for @Kj Rainey and this amazing content!
