Client Sent Contract From Another Account
I’m new to Upwork, and I had a client who discussed a project with me in an interview call 5 months ago but then disappeared. Now, they suddenly messaged me again and gave me the project with slight changes. However, they sent the contract from another new Upwork account under a different name.
Both accounts are new:
- The client's original account has a verified payment method and phone number.
- The second account (which sent the contract) is also new but has only the payment method verified, with the first milestone funded in escrow.
Is this normal, or should I be concerned?
