What’s the one thing you’re most excited (or nervous) about in choosing a home upstate?
My biggest fear: being swindled by a contractor. I have a DIY spirit, but that can only take me so far! My most exciting thing about choosing a home upstate is that I LOOOOOVE HAVING A YARD!

We all want our kids to have the best education possible. I have close friends who bought their home in Orange County, NY, in a highly rated school district (Cornwall). It was out of my price range, and the seasonal home I purchased is in a low-rated (3 out of 10 on Great Schools) district. Currently, we are happy with our primary school in the city, but if a change is needed, there is a private school close to our upstate house that would work for us. My family is multiracial, so I worry about a lack of diversity. We had a great experience at summer day camp upstate last summer. The program was very affordable and included Red Cross-certified swimming lessons daily! How do you ensure your kids "have it all" in regards to education and experiences?
