I've been trying to reduce all the “extra” work around coding — writing docs, structuring PR notes, rewriting messages, etc. Surprisingly, voice helped more than I thought.
I’ve been using Ito lately (open source, so I felt safe trying it). The workflow is simple:
- select code
- hit Fn+Ctrl
- say what you want (“add clear docs”, “make this PR summary cleaner”)
- Ito runs it through an LLM and pastes the improved version right where the cursor is
Feels like having a tiny assistant for all the boring parts of dev work.Also great if you're dealing with RSI or just want fewer keystrokes.
