This Friday I will close down this community. Yet before I do this here's how you can continue being part of my academy. To help you all to get out of that survival state and get some great leads in soon, I will create a new module called Outreach Powerplay. The goal of this module is to show you how you can get some great leads in within the next 3 weeks. I'll include some great tactics which I teach my 1:1 clients when they get into a serious cash-flow problem and when they need to get some jobs in to make the payroll. The module will be released in about 4-6 weeks. If you want in, it's 250€. After Friday, the price for this standalone module will be 1.000€. If you want to take this opportunity schedule a call, tell me what you want to be included this module, and you're in. www.calendly.com/markopfann/chat

In the past few weeks, I started using Grammarly to help me improve my copywriting. As a non-English native speaker, I needed help writing LinkedIn posts and blog articles which sounded good and felt native. One interesting side effect of this usage so far is that it boosted my confidence. I'm more willing to write and create more content for my audience. It's like lifting some limiters. Also, since many people chose ChatGPT, I chose the hard way of generating authentic content, even if imperfect. Are you using Grammarly or some similar tools? What's your copywriting process?

This week is about the community. I want to understand how I can serve you better. Let's imagine I turn this community into a membership 1. What would you need from this group so you would happily pay 50 EUR's a months? Do I have plans to do this? Not necessarily, but I want you to tell me what you'd need from me to invest 50 EUR a month in yourself. Looking forward t your answers :)

How do you know you create value for your clients? Do you even know what "value" means to them? Can you express it? Today I want you to explain to me the value you bring to the table for your clients. Here are the rules: 1. It needs to be in a business context. Helping to make brands "look good" is not enough. You need to explain what the value of "looking good" is. 2. I can not be more then 3 sentences. 3. If you need a formula, use this: Problem, Solution, Benefits Looking forward to your posts.

Hello! I’m Adam, a motion designer, and creative director. www.adamgill.tv https://www.linkedin.com/in/adgill/ I’m excited to be a part of this community, thank you Marko! My story (short version!) I’ve been a freelancer motion designer for something like 90% of my almost 15-year career. For the last few years, my work has been brand and product focused on consumer goods, consumer electronics and tech. Having reached a point of burnout with freelancing on-site I retreated to remote work and more recently took a long-term contract. Now that it's ended I'm looking for direct clients and to level-up! My plan is to work directly with consumer brands, working with their in-house teams as a creative-motion specialists. Someone who can help them put their message in motion and build out a team to produce and deliver. I'm currently redesigning my website with case studies to show the value of my work. As far as clients go I feel like I’m back on the ground floor. I never really had trouble finding work as a freelancer, I probably didn't try as hard as I should have but I was relatively successful. Going for direct clients feels different… My question for the community is how and who should I be selling to in order to avoid being stuck in the survival level of “the creative game”? Thanks for any help or feedback you can provide!

1. Go on amazon 2. Pick one random item 3. Sell it to the community in the comments using the following framework: 4. What is it / Why you need it/ How it works / How it's special / Why we should buy it today / Don't forget to include the link

#Hello & welcome https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/792545735https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/792545735 Hi everyone First and foremost, congratulations Marko on what you are doing here. Fantastic initiative. My name is Gonzalo, I’m a freelance video editor based in Madrid and new around here. I feel super happy about the chance to become part of this community, but I believe that I don’t play in the same league that most of the people here. No background in entrepreneurship, just in freelancing. But I’d really like to level up my business skills and I have always found Marko´s advice and work as a mentor full of valuable insights. A real down-to-earth approach (yes, I want to be like him when I grow up). I´ll be around mostly listening like a Padawan, as I can’t add much about running a business, but if anyone needs tips or insights about the Spanish market, I´ll be happy to help :) Cheers!

…to an old colleague - I thought he would think I’m needy. I worked with him 10 years ago when I was at another company. He was in a position i am in now. So, to „close the loop“ (and not sound “needy”) I just wrote: “Hi X! following your footsteps (well, sort of 😁) I’ve now joined a real-time agency as technical director. Let’s keep in touch Sebastian” And the fear kicked in. Was that too obvious? Will he even know who I am? Will he even reply?” 10 minutes later!! “Hey Sebastian So great to hear from you! Would you believe I just saw your name on a labor spreadsheet on Monday and thought of you ha ha ha and I believe that's why you thought of me I'm freelancing now and also considering a few offers I'm still living in xxxxx and working abroad here's my cell xxxx-xxxxxxxxxx Best of luck on the new job. I'll take a look at their website shortly. All the best, X” All the worry for nothing!! Even should have just bluntly asked if he’s got something on the plate he wants my Input on. So! DO REACH OUT! Sebastian

A LinkedIn connection shared these images with me, it's very descriptive about analysis paralysis, and procrastination.

Look this is really the secret to being succesfull in your business. The willingness to call prospects, or past clients. Yes, I know you already have thousands of reasons why this is not a good idea. — We don't do that in our culture — It's not professional — I don't know what to say — It seams desperate — etc. It's all wrong. There's not one good reason why you should not call people. Now why should you call people? Because it builds trust. Sending an email, or even a hand written letter or some form of flyer etc. can and often will be ignored because it's just easy. You are not in front of them. Yet the game changes the moment you call people. They have to respond. They will pick up the phone and now you are one step ahead. A big step. Here's what you do: 1. Start by calling a past client. 2. Tell him that you are reaching out because you just finished a long project and are now looking for the next opportunity. And since you licked working with him, you wanted to call him first. 3. Ask if they have something coming up where they could use your help. 4. WAIT: be silent 5. If he says yes, perfect. 6. If he says no. Ask him if he can refer you to someone inside the company, or maybe even outside. 7. If he says yes, perfect. 8. If he says no. Simply thank him for his time and ask if you can call back in 3 month. This is how I became one of the highest paid freelancers, not because I was necessarily the best (I like to think that I was ; ) ), but because I was always booked and because of that I had the courage to charge more than others; which in-turn made me even more attractive. So if you can master calling 1 person today, asking for a job you have what it takes to be succesfull. If not, you don't. Let me know in the comments if you did it, how it felt and what the outcome was.

This week, I want you to think about WHO you want to help by giving them a voice. If you look at the individuals that really figured out content marketing without spending millions, you will notice two things. 1. They polarise with their statements 2. They speak for someone else that don't have a voice Take a look at the social media profiles of Andrew Tate or Jordan B. Peterson for example. They both launched with simple yet powerful statements. Both wanted to give a voice to young men. Individuals that doubted themselves that didn't want to belief what they where told by society. And Andrew and Jordan gave them an identity, courage and a vision. This is powerful stuff. So. Your challenge is to find a group of people that needs a voice and come up with a simple statement. Example: "Men need to become more dangerous" — Jordan B Peterson This exercise will get you out of your comfort-zone. It will help you to clearly define your niche. You will know what to say on social media IF you're up for the challenge. Comment your statement below.

It's nice to be able to post my thoughts on LinkedIn, I'm following on the footsteps of @André Gagiano and @Marko Pfann who just write excellent posts which feel genuine and insightful. Writing is liberating, and sharing your insights is a self therapy, a cure for the mind and soul! How do you feel about writing and sharing your thoughts publicly on LinkedIn ?

After having my work session with Marko, I decided to follow his advices: 1- My pricing includes a free architecture & planning session instead of the free estimate. I also dropped the minimum fixed amount to be more flexible. https://www.pragmatic.page/pricing/ 2- The process is now more gradual, after getting in touch, the client gets a free architecture & planning session, afterwards we can build him an initial MVP, and if he wishes to further work with us then we build the full product. https://www.pragmatic.page/how-it-works/ Any feedback is welcome regarding the process and pricing changes. Also I welcome any help/feedback on how to improve this sentence from the homepage: "Start with a free architecture & planning session, then enroll in a monthly retainer within your budget."

If you would write a BUSINESS or SELF HELP book within the next 6 months. — Who would you want to read it. — What would the title be? — What would the subtitle be? — What would be the first step for you to get this started. — Are you actually interested in doing this? Looking forward to your replies.

I was toying with an AI app today. Some of the results are stunning, in my opinion. I learned that it really matters what cultural prompts you are using. here it's Gustav Klimt and Harry Styles, and more. The question is, what can we do with those kinds of illustrations? Can we even claim authorship? Could Harry Styles ask for a share? This is all a slippery slope - but interesting. What's your take?

I was toying with the AI to find out if the system can really be helpful with finding answers or providing intelligent assessments. Here's ChatGPT. Hey ChatGPT Create a brand pyramid for Marc Posch Design A brand pyramid is a hierarchical framework that helps to visualize and organize the various elements that make up a brand. It is typically composed of five levels: 1. Foundation: This level represents the core values and beliefs of the brand. It includes the mission, vision, and purpose of the organization, as well as its fundamental values and principles. 2. Identity: This level represents the visual and verbal elements that make up the brand's identity. It includes the logo, typography, color palette, and other design elements, as well as the brand's tone of voice and messaging. 3. Culture: This level represents the internal culture and values of the organization. It includes the behaviors, attitudes, and expectations of employees, as well as the way the organization interacts with customers and stakeholders. 4. Experience: This level represents the overall experience that customers have when interacting with the brand. It includes the products and services offered, as well as the way in which they are delivered and supported. 5. Performance: This level represents the tangible and intangible benefits that customers receive from the brand. It includes the functional and emotional value that customers derive from using the brand's products and services, as well as the brand's reputation and market standing. Here is an example of a brand pyramid for Marc Posch Design: Foundation: - Mission: To create innovative and timeless design solutions that enhance the user experience and reflect the values of our clients. - Vision: To be the leading design firm in the industry, known for our creativity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. - Values: Creativity, excellence, innovation, professionalism, sustainability. Identity: - Logo: A sleek and modern design featuring the initials "MPD" in a bold font. - Typography: A clean and contemporary sans-serif font is used for headings and titles, with a complementary serif font for body copy. - Color palette: A mix of vibrant and neutral colors is used, with the dominant color being a bright blue that reflects the brand's energetic and innovative personality. - Tone of voice: Professional, confident, and approachable. - Messaging: Emphasizes the brand's commitment to delivering high-quality, impactful design solutions that meet the needs and goals of its clients.

I recently talked with someone who spent thousands of dollars on coaching and masterminds from some notable names. They, however, say the transformation didn't last, and they are back to feeling stuck. So, are people seeking transformation or confirmation bias? The current statistics say about 1% of people participating in these programs follow through to make a notable change in their lives. As coaches, consultants, and creatives, are we holding our clients accountable to transform their lives? How can we influence people's minds to increase these numbers and help more people achieve their goals? I think people are outright failing to launch from a lack of motivation. Do you think it's a strategy to escape their world and not to seek change?

Happy new year to @Marko Pfann and y'all. Hope it's been a relaxing time and minds are clear and psyched. I am taking it slow and steady this year. Building rock solid foundations. Marathon not a sprint. I've never really been a fan of using organisation tools but I've started out with 1. A huge brain dump. Everything thats been in my pip. Written down. I then sorted everything into categories I could place them. 2. I've started using the Eisenhower Matrix to structure my time better and by priority. What are you using to get you sorted out this year? On a side note the surf has been pumping. It's late but its good to get magazine looking waves. Hope whatever is your poison is firing at the moment.
