🚨Loom Tutorial 🚨 Uploading Missions to Skool
Hey everyone, great news. Loom offers a free plan that lets you film up to 25 videos. That's enough for a whole year of Missions and I recommend that you all use the Loom platform until native video is available on Skool, because really it's just the easiest way. I'm going to guide you through a quick tutorial on how to use Loom on your phone and upload your Missions to Skool.
______________
For those who favour reading over watching, below is the transcript 👇
First things first, you have to download both the Loom app and the Skool app from the App Store if you use an Apple, or the Play Store for Samsung. If you have a different phone, work it all out. After signing up for your free starter, not business, not enterprise, starter Loom account, simply tap the purple button at the bottom of your screen.
Now here is the simple part. Press the red circle to start recording. Alternatively you can film your Mission using your phone's camera and then select the video from your library by clicking the icon in the bottom left corner. Once your video is uploaded just click the three dots and then select copy link.
This link is what you are going to use to post your video to Skool. So now switch over to the Skool app,
tap on the write something, enter the Mission number, then go to select a category and choose your clusters Missions.
Next, click on the paperclip icon, choose add video link, paste your copied link and hit the yellow link button to embed your video into the post. There you have it. Just hit post and you are all set to share your Mission with us. See, like I said, easy peasy.
Also, this part is very important because the marketing trickery has caught a few people out. So just as a heads up, so you can avoid any confusion, when you sign up for your free starter Loom account, you will get an automatic email like this one.
Here it tells you that they have given you a free 14 day trial and we'd like to assure you that the 14 days they're talking about is for the Loom business plan. Only that one, not the 25 videos included in the free starter plan. So they're trying to get you to commit to buying and they're upselling you basically.
So there's no need to upgrade to the Loom business plan unless you're loving the platform or the tool and you want to use it for your life or in business in general because it is a great tool. However, if you're solely using it for our EntreSpeak Missions, the 25 videos offered in the free plan are more than sufficient.
Just as all of you are learning new things around your speaking, we are also learning new things around this platform and the connected products that can make your participation easier. When we do come across something we feel which will add value, we're going to share it with you right away so you can focus on getting your Missions out.
As always, keep learning and hit us up if you have any other further questions.
