Recognizing The Credible Threat
It looks increasingly more like Lisa Cook will not be facing any issues with her supposed falsified documents about her real estate deals. The accusations created quite a stir and elevated the discussions around the federal reserve independence. "Uncertainty" became the common phrase when discussing interest rates and has been pushed on to Powell now with a supposed criminal investigation. Lisa Cook was never going to be fired by Trump. Even if the accusations were true, it would be disqualify, so if Trump wanted to keep her at the fed, she couldn't and wouldn't be able to as she would be forced out by the federal reserves own protocol.
