Feedback please with Descript
Hey everyone, I’m still getting used to doing interviews using Descript and I’m sure I made a few mistakes along the way. Up until now, I’ve mostly recorded solo episodes directly in Descript using my mic and computer.
This time, I tried to capture a two-angle setup:
- Angle 1: My webcam (recorded into Descript on my computer)
- Angle 2: My phone (recorded separately)
- Audio: External Zoom recorder (separate audio file)
After importing everything into Descript, I ran into problems syncing the two videos with the external audio. Even after using the “sync audio” tool, things still seemed off—especially over time.
Does anyone have advice for:
- The best way to set this up going forward?
- How to fix sync issues when the auto-sync doesn’t work perfectly?
- Whether I should pre-sync video/audio outside of Descript first?
