In our Samoan culture, death is one of the important times in any family.
Part 1.
Apart from the usual spiritual side and meaning of death and the sad emotions come with it, death brings families together. It becomes a reunion where relatives you haven't seen for a long time do come. Relatives travel from near and far to pay respect, to show support and to provide what is needed. It is also a reconciliation time for those relatives whose relationships have been broken for whatever reason. They make peace with each other. The traffic of people arriving day in and day out from the day death strikes right through to the burial, is huge.
I learn and know through seeing it, hearing it and experiencing it, that, all those and more, is called Love. (More to come on Part 2)
What about you in your culture?

We loved to share our culture with others. Sharing our traditions, language and basically what role a tama'ita'i or a Samoan lady has in the Aiga/Nu'u
