1. Clean Your Personal Credit

Your personal profile is the gateway. You want:

720 FICO (750+ Is Preferred) Tradelines help big time
No derogatories
Less than 3 inquiries
Under 30% utilization (10% is best)This is the foundation. If your file is messy, fix that first.

2. Build Out Your Business

No bank is going to fund a ghost business. You need:

LLC or Corporation (registered properly)
EIN from IRS.gov (free)
Business address (no P.O. box)
Business phone + professional email
A basic website that shows you’re legitThis is what makes your business look “fundable” in their system.

3. Establish Banking Relationships

Open a business checking account. Run revenue through it if you can. Build history. When the bank sees consistent deposits, they’re more comfortable lending to you.

4. Apply for the Right Products

Don’t shotgun applications. Be strategic:

Start with 0% interest business credit cards (Chase, Amex, BOA, etc.)
Layer in Credit Unions for higher approvals (Navy Fed, DCU, Langley, etc.)
Explore business lines of credit once your history is establishedStacking these in the right order is how you can secure $50K–$100K in your first round.

5. Timing Matters

Space applications. Use inquiry stacking where possible. Don’t try to rush all approvals in one day unless you’re following a proven sequence.
