December Challenge 十二月的挑战: Day 24 第二十四天
Step 1: Learn a new word (written + spoken).
Step 2: See it applied in an example sentence. (Context).
Step 3: Choose a skill to practice:
A. Write your own sentence using the key word + submit for feedback.
B. Listen + repeat the example sentence for pronunciation practice (shadowing) + submit for feedback.
C. Write the example sentence to practice characters + submit for feedback.
生词 New word: 不但 bú dàn 。。。而且 ér qiě 。。。= not only… but also
(Used for connecting adjectives/descriptive phrases or actions. Both parts either need to be both positive or both negative.)
E.g. 我觉得学习中文不但很有意思, 而且非常有用。
Wǒ jué de xué xí zhōng wén bú dàn hěn yǒu yì si, ér qiě fēi cháng yǒu yòng.
= I think that studying Chinese (is) not only very interesting, but also extremely useful.
我不但喜欢和朋友买东西，而且喜欢听音乐。
Wǒ bú dàn xǐ huan hé péng you mǎi dōng xi, ér qiě xǐ huan tīng yīn yuè.
= I not only like shopping with my friend(s), but also like listening to music.
