December Challenge 十二月的挑战 : Day 14 第十四天
Step 1: Learn a new word (written + spoken).
Step 2: See it applied in an example sentence. (Context).
Step 3: Choose a skill to practice:
A. Write your own sentence using the key word + submit for feedback.
B. Listen + repeat the example sentence for pronunciation practice (shadowing) + submit for feedback.
C. Write the example sentence to practice characters + submit for feedback.
生词 New word：上 shàng = Above / last 下 xià = under / next. (In Chinese culture, time flows downwards. So earlier events are viewed as ‘above’ and later events are viewed as ‘below’.)
E.g. 上个星期 - last week / 下个星期 - next week 上个月 - last month / 下个月 - next month.
However, this can’t be used to say ‘tomorrow/yesterday’ or ‘last year/next year’, as those words don’t use this pattern!
