One of the biggest differences in players is not just control — it’s awareness.
This simple activity helps your child get used to looking up before making a move.
🔹 How it works:
- Child starts with the ball in a small space
- Parent stands a few steps away and holds up 1 or 2 fingers at random
- Before moving, the child must quickly look up, call the number out, then continue dribbling
Repeat for 2–3 minutes
🎯 What this improves:
- Awareness (looking up, not just at the ball)
- Decision making
- Control while thinking
💡 Make it more effective:
- Change numbers quickly so they have to react
- Add a simple instruction: 1 = turn left 2 = turn right
⚽ Why this matters:
In matches, players don’t just dribble — they need to see what’s around them.
This helps build that habit early, in a really simple way 👍
