Whale Eye: A warning sign
Whale eye from a dog can come from a variety of reasons including uncertainty, fear, aggression, or a precursor to an attempt at a bite. It can also be a dog body language sign toward another dog while also lip licking, or showing teeth is taking place. All three together then a rapid close of the mouth signifies a bite is about to occur. It’s something to watch out for if you own dogs.
