I do work with the homeless regarding trauma. The homeless in our society are a marginalized group. They are believed to be degenerates, drug addicts, lazy, and mentally ill. There are a lot of people out there who wound up there due to circumstances beyond their control. I worked in Property Management for a long time. I have seen the shift in housing and it breaks my heart to see so many Senior Citizens and Disabled Veterans living on the streets. Just curious, how many people have homeless encampments near them? Do you have homeless people in your community? Would you like to join in helping them? Items most requested for surviving winter on the street are: Coats, hats, scarves, gloves, socks, boots, long underwear, snow pants, tents, tarps, propane heaters & propane. Most of us have one or more of these in our homes, not being used right now. We can donate them to the homeless in your area. Give them the gift of warmth this winter. Let me know how your community handles the homeless.
