Alright, let’s do a hand folding exercise.
Ok- clasp your hands and interlock your fingers - what thumb is on top?
How does it feel?
Now- switch it up and interlock your fingers in the opposite way, so your other thumb is on top.
How does this feel?
SO ~ what I want you to note is how natural one way feels for you vs how the “other” way feels.
What feels natural to us, may not be natural to someone else.
So here is where I’d like to address the amazing concept of accepting differences in others. This is a great metaphor for how some of us need to shift our thinking slightly, to be able to change our perceptions because not everyone thinks like you. What may be natural for you may not be for someone else.
