Did some work yesterday, but last night I burnt myself out and have been recovering the entire day. This is probably one of my biggest issues, and ties in to the health condition I am dealing with. I'm a father to a 10 month old baby boy, and it's both the most amazing thing and the hardest thing I've ever done. That said, today I started meditating again seriously since I realized that I need to have a more resilient mind in the face of all this stress. It's helped a lot. Recap of yesterday: 1/ Built my prep routine for preparing mentally and emotionally for the trading session. 2/ Created more flashcards to help retain trading concepts and insights better in my long-term memory. 3/ Watched Britton's video "Trading in Probabilities", which was also an amazing talk on trading psychology. There were so many gems in there and I will definitely come back to watch the video again. That kind of psychological work of re-aligning our beliefs and behaviors in the market is a long term process, and is something I should always reflect on every time I trade, whether paper or live. I also really liked the Red/Yellow/Green Light mental model. When I used to trade a lot, besides getting emotional on both winning and losing trades --> red light, I would also over analyze and build scenarios, after already entering the trade, after the entry itself --> yellow light. Flipping from analysis mode to execution mode would be helpful in letting go of the trade outcome, since over-analyzing once already in the trade, is another way of trying to protect myself from a negative outcome, of which I don't really have any control over. I am feeling better and will continue with the meditation as well as the trading work. I love trading and I want to get back in the flow as fast as possible, but I also want to be more methodical about it.

Day started off super weak, as I had a flair up in my condition last night that shut me down until 2pm today. Normally, I would just make an excuse saying that things were hard, and not do the work, but because I already put myself on the line with my post yesterday, I decided I want to show up and at least get something done. Here's the recap: 1/ Finished setting up color coded presets for all the different charting tools like levels, fib, rectangles etc., based on their different timeframes I use. 2/ I setup a good amount of hotkeys and put them on some virtual flashcards, and practiced them until I have them pretty well memorized. It was about twenty different ones lol 3/ Reading price action "rhythm" from the day on chart replayer, without context of levels or market profile etc.. This helps me a lot identify momentum shifts and when it's time to execute. I figured until I study all the different tools I want to use, there is still a lot to be gained from getting reps on this exercise. For tomorrow: 1/ I'd like to setup my executions on Sierra 2/ I'd like to get 2 days of replayer reps in just on reading "rhythm". 3/ I started watching a few minutes from the materials on this community. I'd like to get one lesson in and take some notes, and maybe make some flashcards on it. Happy to be here and look forward to being consistent with the work!

First day getting back into things. Mainly spent the day setting up my pc and tying up loose ends, in terms of life admin. It's also my 2nd year's wedding anniversary today, so the day's cut short to spend some time with her. That said, my current focus is to setup my Sierra Chart platform to be trading ready and usable by the end of this week. This means: 1/ Volume Profile charts setup - Monthly, Weekly, and Daily. 2/ Footprint charts --> I want to very basically learn how to read it and use it. 3/ Standard volume bars 4/ Execution setup --> Both on the software level, and with me being able to adjust position sizing on micro contracts to optimize risk/reward. I've struggled with Sierra Chart in the past, but I've made some progress learning it already, and believe that if I break things down into small goals, over time, the platform will feel comfortable. The overall goal is to get to a place where I can be setup to trade MNQ on market replayer, and build some real trading reps again. After doing that for a few weeks, I'd then analyze my data as well as my psychology during the sessions. I'm already jumping ahead but for now, I'd thought it would be good to lay it out. Happy trading everyone!
