Study Middle& End games: In the opening most players at a 2000 below rating are excellent but when it goes to the middle and end game they fall down .Jose Raul Capablanca said in order to be good at the middlegame you need to be good at positional strategy but most players lose to tactics when you reach 1700-1900 elo then you can learn positional strategies
