別に〜ない betsuni-nai meaning: not particularly, not really

betsu ni okotte nai yo.
(I'm not particularly upset.)
別に気にしてないよ。
betsu ni ki ni shite nai yo.

You can also respond to questions just “別に betsu ni” but it sounds a bit rude and cold.
