A Quiet Note for the Quiet Members
If you’re reading this and haven’t posted yet, you’re not behind. Most people join a community like this to observe first. To listen. To see how others think. That’s normal. It’s also useful. But there’s a point where staying quiet stops being neutral and starts costing you signal. Tiny Tribes doesn’t work because people perform. It works because people surface real, half-formed thinking and let it be shaped in conversation. A post here does not need to be: - polished - confident - complete - impressive In fact, the most useful posts are usually the opposite. IF YOU’RE NOT SURE WHAT TO POST, TRY ONE OF THESE AND STOP THERE: - “Here’s the part of my book/idea I’m stuck on.” - “I’m unsure how this would turn into something someone pays for.” - “This feels obvious to me, but I can’t tell if it is to others.” That’s it. One paragraph is enough. You don’t get leverage in this room by being right. You get it by being visible at the moment your thinking is still forming. If you’ve been waiting to “have something worth sharing,” this is the invitation to lower that bar. Post the thing you’re currently circling. That’s where the work actually starts. Baz

“Build It, and They Will Come” — A Myth that Quietly Paralyzes Creators
Most creators don’t fail because they lack talent. They stall because they believe a myth that feels productive, even though it isn’t. HERE ARE THREE REASONS THE “BUILD IT, AND THEY WILL COME” IDEA DOES REAL DAMAGE. 1. IT PROMISES RESULTS WITHOUT CORRESPONDING EFFORT. The myth suggests that creation alone is enough. Write the book. Launch the product. Publish the course. Then wait. That belief removes the need for outreach, testing, and adjustment—the very activities that turn work into results. When outcomes don’t appear automatically, creators don’t correct course…they freeze. 2. IT ELIMINATES THE MOST IMPORTANT FUNCTION IN BUSINESS: CONVERSATION. Nothing meaningful happens without two-way dialogue. “Build it, and they will come” replaces conversations with hope. Instead of talking to real people, creators retreat into polishing, tweaking, and refining in isolation. Feedback, signals, and momentum all disappear. 3. IT’S LAZIER IN A SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE WAY. This is the uncomfortable one. The myth lets creators feel industrious without being exposed. Building in private feels safer than asking questions, making offers, or hearing “no.” But success isn’t awarded for effort alone. It’s earned through interaction, responsiveness, and showing up before you feel ready. Tiny Tribes🪶 exists because small, intentional work done in public, in conversation, with real people beats silent perfection every time. If you’re building something right now, ask yourself: WHAT CONVERSATION AM I AVOIDING BY “GETTING READY?" That answer usually points to the next useful move. In my opinion, the next move is to ACT. AT A MINIMUM, TAKE OUT YOUR PHONE AND DO THE FOLLOWING TODAY: - Shoot a 30-second video (in selfie-mode) with your basic elevator pitch (use Claude or ChatGPT to help you craft one for your niche) - Post them to a YouTube channel via YouTube Shorts - Post them as Instagram Reels - Make sure your newsletter / Substack/YT channel, etc., is linked in your bio.

CLASSROOM CHANGES...
You may see some aesthetic changes happening in the classroom. I'm working on creating a logical journey that matches this map: ========= START HERE: HOW TINY TRIBES WORKS Tiny Tribes is not a content library. It’s a progression. If you follow the path in order, you move from “I write, but I’m not making money” to “one brief book is producing predictable income.” If you skip steps, things break. Here’s the path. STEP 0 — ORIENT YOURSELF (15 minutes) Go to: Start Here Your job in this step is not action. It’s alignment. You should leave this step clear on three things:• This community assumes you already know how to write• The goal is four-figure monthly income, not audience growth• Everything revolves around a single brief book and its extensions If you’re looking to learn writing basics, grow a massive audience, or build a generic online business, this won’t fit—and that’s intentional. Once that’s clear, move on. STEP 1 — CHOOSE THE BOOK THAT PAYS Rung 1: Teach What You Already Know This is where everyone starts. Your only objective here is to identify ONE problem you are qualified to solve and shape it into a brief book that leads somewhere financially. You are done with this step when you have:• A narrow audience you can clearly describe• A specific problem your book solves• A clear promise (what changes for the reader)• A simple brief book outline Do not write the full book yet if you’re stuck on clarity. Clarity comes first. When this is complete, move on. STEP 2 — DECIDE HOW THE BOOK MAKES MONEY Rung 2: Get Paid to Be You This step turns the book into an income engine. Your job here is to choose ONE paid extension that feels natural for you:• A companion course• A coaching offer• A done-for-you service You are done with this step when you can clearly say:“If someone finishes my book and wants help, this is the obvious next step.” No funnels. No tech stacks. Just a clean offer tied directly to the book. Then move on. STEP 3 — CREATE FIRST REVENUE, NOT VIRAL CONTENT
