Created for a local Arts Council event, these arrangements were a study in intentional line and textural contrast. By utilizing the vertical, architectural quality of locally grown Bells-of-Ireland, I established a strong 'sculptural mechanic' that serves as the design's skeletal frame. Utilizing bold color and low, weighted centers, the designs direct energy into the surrounding negative space. These pieces were designed to push past standard event 'recipes' and instead evoke the feeling of living sculptures—drawing the eye through sharp turns, slow curves, and the natural movement of found textures.
