Gate program/gifted and talented

So were any of you in the gifted and talented program in school GATE? Recently, I fell down that rabbit hole on Tik Tok. Apparently kids who were in the program were taken out of class for all sorts of testing. People speculate the CIA was tagging people with psychic gifts. I was in this program in elementary school and I was just curious if anyone else in here was in that program or if anyone else has researched this. Recently I saw a bunch of videos on this topic and it brought back memories that were repressed or forgotten. Anyone?? Anyone remember the tests and the pink drink they gave us?
