Desktop Trick - Lots of notifications
When you run a community, your notifications fill-up quickly. the other day I had 60 plus when i logged in. I can only imagine what it's like for !
So here is my process, (you can't do this on a phone)
- Go through the list and CTRL+Click every 'mention' - this will open each one in a fresh tab on your browser.
- Like ALL and respond to each mention as appropriate. They are in separate tabs, so just close the tab (CTRL+w, for windows, ⌘+w, for Apple). Keep going till you have answered them all
- Then repeat the process with all the 'NEW POSTS' from those you follow, people and communities.
- Once that is done, reload the tab, and all the remaining notifications should just be 'LIKES' from others. Not necessarily needing a response, but nice to know who is paying attention.
- Then mark all as read.
Better make sure you also answer any DMs - remember they are Direct, not Instant Messages
By this point you probably have some new ones.
