WHAT IS DISTRACTING YOUR PRAYER LIFE? CHALLENGE: Identify one distraction you need to eliminate or reduce this week The two things that have been interfering with my prayer life are procrastination and television. I know that I need to make a conscious effort to put both aside so I can spend more time in God’s Word and truly hear from Him. I’m currently working on cutting back on my television time and replacing it with reading the Bible. I believe that by making these changes, I’ll be able to grow closer to God, strengthen my relationship with Him, and get myself in the right position to develop a consistent prayer life and hear His voice more clearly. 🙏🏽❤

TODAY, PRAYER WAS DIFFERENT! AND WHEN I SAY DIFFERENT, I MEAN DIFFERENT! 😭🙌🏾 I honestly don’t even have the words to explain what happened in worship this morning. All I can say is that I had an encounter with my Heavenly Father, and I am still trying to gather myself! 😭❤️ Yesterday, I petitioned God concerning some things, but during prayer, I was reminded that I WAS GETTING IN GOD’S WAY! I was so busy trying to figure things out, fix things, and understand things that I wasn’t fully allowing God to be GOD! But THIS MORNING? Something shifted! What started as frustration turned into surrender. Before I knew it, I was on my knees, bowed before the Father, weeping in His presence. And let me make something clear: THESE WERE NOT TEARS OF SADNESS! THESE WERE TEARS OF SURRENDER, GRATITUDE, AND WORSHIP! 😭🙌🏾 And right there in that posture, I heard in my spirit, JEHOSHAPHAT! I began reading and studying 2 Chronicles 20, and WHEN I TELL YOU THE REVELATION HIT DIFFERENT! 🔥 Jehoshaphat was surrounded by enemies, outnumbered, and facing a battle he couldn’t win in his own strength. But instead of trying to control the outcome, he sought God. He prayed, he fasted, and he acknowledged that he didn’t know what to do, but his eyes were on the Lord! And here was MY revelation: I HAD BEEN TRYING TO FIGHT SOMETHING GOD NEVER INSTRUCTED ME TO FIGHT! Jehoshaphat didn’t receive instructions to fight harder. He received instructions to stand firm, trust God, and watch Him move! And before the victory ever manifested, JEHOSHAPHAT BOWED DOWN AND WORSHIPED! 2 Chronicles 20:18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.” 😭🙌🏾 DO YOU SEE THAT? He worshiped BEFORE the battle was over! He bowed BEFORE the breakthrough! He surrendered BEFORE he saw the victory! And that’s when that song came to my spirit: “It may look like I’m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by You!” MY GOD! ❤️‍🔥 Today reminded me that surrender isn’t defeat. Sometimes surrender is the very place where God begins to deal with what you’ve been trying to carry yourself.

I haven’t even finished listening to everyone’s testimonies yet because I’m still DIGESTING what I’ve already heard! My God! 😭🔥 The hope, the confirmation, and most importantly, the CONVICTION! Y’all are stirring something in my spirit! Especially concerning rising early, overcoming spiritual sluggishness, and being intentional about seeking the face of God! Whew! Because why am I acting like I need an extra shot of espresso before entering His presence? 😭 These testimonies are not just encouraging me; they are challenging me to come up HIGHER in prayer, consistency, and consecration!
