When your child sits down to write, which one sounds most familiar? A) "I don't know what to write." B) "How much do I have to do?" C) Stares at the page for 10 minutes. D) They'll talk all day but won't write a sentence. As a former Reading and Writing Lead, I'd genuinely love to know because it helps me create resources and lessons that solve real problems rather than guessing. My 6 year old was very much a D until she started to gain more confidence with sentence writing. She will still talk all day though!!! 😂

After teaching for over a 13 years, I became slightly obsessed with helping reluctant writers find their confidence. Some of my favourite tutoring moments are when a child who once said "I hate writing" suddenly can't wait to tell me about something they've written. (Theo Tangle has also caused more excitement than I ever expected from a scribbly little character in sunglasses .) I can't wait to get to know you and your children. Liz
