One thing I’ve learned as a creator…
Creating a cartoon isn’t just about animation.
It’s about world-building, storytelling, music, and consistency.
Over the past months I’ve been building a preschool animated series called LJ & Friends — a colorful educational cartoon designed to help kids learn through music, exploration, and adventure.
Today I released Episode 9: “Colors Are Beautiful.” 🎨🌈
In this episode:
LJ, Maceo, and Destiny explore a vibrant Caribbean island while learning about the beauty of colors and the color spectrum.
What many people don’t see behind the scenes is everything that goes into a single episode:
• Writing the script
• Composing the song
• Designing the visuals
• Building characters
• Editing the animation
• Creating thumbnails and distribution content
It’s a full creative production pipeline.
But projects like this remind me of something important:
Consistency builds worlds.
