Hey y’all! I’m Kia and I’m @DogMomPOV on socials. I’ve always loved to write and create. Back in the day I loved to create fan sites and create community around them...think B2K, Mario, and I even had a fan Tumblr for Big Sean when he wasn’t as well known as he is now and it got eyes on it and it became his official Tumblr for quite some time.

I created a blog (comewagalong.com) about family life with a dog when I brought home my Mini Schnauzer 14 years ago and I created his own Instagram simply because I thought my dog was cute and I wanted the world to see him LOL It then blossomed into much more once a brand reached out to me out of the blue for a campaign. I also have several pet parent communities on Facebook.

I rebranded a few years ago to DogMomPOV to give a dog mom’s point of view of life with my dogs. Some people may see a dog as “just a dog”, but I see dogs as family. My brand’s why is to create relatable dog mom content that helps pet parents who see dogs as family feel seen, feel joy, and less alone by sharing my moments with my furkids. Sometimes dog mom life is amazing and other times it can be ruff, pun intended :) I share that in funny make you smile relatable ways, serious real talk ways, and in a helpful dog mom tips type of way.

By the way this video only had like 200 views or less in 30 days when I first posted it last year, but then it took off (for me, I don’t usually get 1K views on longform) all of a sudden. I’m hoping to make more videos like this that get that same type of result more consistently.

I want to focus more on YouTube and long form content. My short form content does pretty really well and I post that way more, but I want to learn how to get people to stick around for my long form content as well. I also want to get back to writing on my blog.
